Chodová Planá

Chodová Planá is a small West Bohemian town whose fame rests on a single, beloved craft. The Chodovar family brewery has drawn water from its own spring and lagered beer in cool rock-hewn cellars for more than a century, and it still pours from the source today. Visitors descend into the cellars for a tasting, or unwind in the brewery spa, where warm mineral baths of dark beer and hops are said to soften the skin and quiet the mind. Around the quiet main square and the surrounding Slavkov Forest, glassmaking heritage and gentle walking trails round out an unhurried, distinctly local day.
