Mariánské Lázně

An elegance of colonnades and singing water

All destinations

Mariánské Lázně is the youngest and perhaps the most graceful of the West Bohemian spas, a neoclassical town laid out around parks and more than forty mineral springs. Cast-iron colonnades shelter the fountains where Goethe, Mark Twain and Chopin once took the cure, and at the centre the Singing Fountain plays its hourly melody of water and music. The Russian Orthodox church, the English-style gardens and the restored spa houses give the town a refined, almost garden-party air. Flat, walkable and serenely green, Marienbad invites slow strolls between springs, colonnades and the calm of the surrounding forest.
